Open, open, open.
Hundreds of Santa Clarans were thinking, some actually chanting it aloud, as they awaited the doors to open of the 140,000-square foot Target in Santa Clara Town Centre at 2004 El Camino Real at Scott.
With little advance advertising or notice, Target opened on Oct. 7 following a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by Mayor Jamie Matthews, Vice Mayor Jerry Marsalli, Council Members Lisa Gillmor and Debi Davis and SCUSD Board Trustee Andrew Ratermann.
“What an exciting, exciting grand opening,” said Matthews after the event. “If people don’t believe Santa Clara is retail starved, this is a good example of what happens when we get a great retailer like Target in the City.”
The Itchy Dog Part 1: Atopic Dermatitis

It often seems that the most frustrating problem for pet owners is itchy skin. Often referred to by veterinarians as “allergic dermatitis”, it can result in skin infections, constant scratching and discomfort, open sores that look like wounds, and frequent visits to the veterinarian. It is common in most breeds and can affect pets of almost any age. Pet owners will desperately search for an underlying cause, often changing foods, flea control products, shampoos, and may even turn to alternative therapies such as herbal remedies or on-line products.
